Paintless Dent Repair - PDR001
Beginning Level
Our PDR001 16-hour introductory class is great for those who wish to learn
some of the basics of Paintless Dent Repair.
Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is used by technicians and auto plant "dingmen" to
remove small dents from painted steel and aluminum body panels. This remarkable
process removes the dent without harming the paint. When done correctly, the
repair is completely invisible. Because there is no repainting, you save a lot of time and
money.
Paintless Dent Repair is part science and part art. It requires a lot of
personalized instruction and many hours of practice to master. PDR001
is the first in a series that helps you obtain the basic skills you need in a
step-by-step sequence. Our staff is made up of highly-skilled and experienced
PDR technicians with many years of experience teaching workers in the production
plant environment.
Our Unique Program Curriculum Includes:
þ Dent Recognition - Identification of high & low spots.
þ Seeing the Tool - Learning to identify the exact location of the tool.
þ Reading the Light - Identifying the high and low spots in a dent by the way it distorts light.
þ Pushing Dents - Using a variety of special PDR tools to push up the metal.
þ Tapping - Using the "tapper" or "knock-down" tool on high spots.
þ New PDR Tools & Techniques - Using the lasted innovations in PDR tools & techniques.
